Faith in Action – An ALL AGES + Mission Event
Let us know you will be joining us by registering here!
What does the Lord require of us? To do justice, love kindness and walk humbly with God. These words in Micah 6:8 sound simple, but are packed with deep meaning and enormous challenges for us to put our faith in action and become “do-er’s” of the Word rather than just hearers only. (James 1:22)
What a marvelous opportunity we have to learn alongside our children and other generations in the church as we translate the basic teachings of Jesus. We will learn that actions speak louder than words! We will be given opportunities to learn about some of the injustices that exist in our world and ways that we can make a difference in the lives of others simply by putting our FAITH IN ACTION!
Schedule:
5:30pm: The Community Gathers – Community Art Project (handprints on canvas)
and Pizza Dinner
6:15pm: Opening song and worship
6:30pm: The Good Garden by Katie Smith Milway
Faith Talk: Jesus had much to say about feeding the hungry and treating the poor with respect and fairness.
Small group discussion
6:50pm: Kirk Garden – What do we do here at The Kirk?
7:00pm: Society of St. Andrew – what is gleaning? Potato and Produce truck dump: bagging
