Kirk of Kildaire

KIRK of KILDAIRE

“Kirk” is an old Scottish word for church. We are a Christ-centered family of faith located on Kildaire Farm Road since 1979.  We aim to live and know God’s love for one another, for our neighbors, and the world.

ENTRUSTED

Stewardship Season at The Kirk of Kildaire

Stewardship is a fancy word we use every year when fall rolls around, and we start raising money for our next church year. In times past, the “steward” was the official charged with caring for the king’s treasure while the king was away. The treasure did not belong to the steward; the steward was entrusted with it.

The central claim of the Christian faith is that God has treasured human life so much that, in Christ, he came to live it. Thus, all of human life—all we have, all that we know, all that we can do, and all that we are—has been claimed by the steadfast love of God in Jesus Christ and entrusted to us for God’s purposes.

What does it mean for us to entrust our livelihoods to one another? What does it mean for God to have entrusted your livelihood to you? And how might we faithfully put what has been entrusted to us to work for the sake of God’s love?

Join us in worship September 20 – October 18 as we grow together in answering these questions.
