Concert for a Cause : Rocky Mount Chamber Choir

The Rocky Mount Chamber Choir will complete their eleventh season of concerts with a performance on Sunday, May 17 at 4:00pm benefiting residents of Chatham Estates who are in need of housing by partnering with NeighborUP.

Many Kirk members will remember the Chamber Choir’s leader, Dr. Jim Smith, from his time at the Kirk as interim Director of Music.  Our pastor, Rev. Hannah Trawick, worked with Dr. Smith at her former church in Rocky Mount, NC.  The theme of this year’s Spring concert is “Songs of Faith, Hope, and Perseverance.” The choir of 25 singers will offer an inspiring performance with selections from across time and genre.  This is an impressive group.  Please make plans to attend.

The concert is free to the public.  The donations made at the concert will benefit NeighborUP, formerly known as Dorcas.
