by Matt Cooper, Director of Youth and Young Adults
Over the past few months, all of our summer trips have been going on! Between Montreat Worship, ASP, CROSS, and Montreat Youth Conference, it’s been a busy, busy summer, full of fun, service, community, and spiritual growth. I’ve been so amazed to see how people have grown on these trips, and am grateful to all who’ve attended–youth and adult chaperones alike!
At CROSS, our youth worked with organizations to help prepare shoes to be distributed across the world, picked up trash at a local park, learned about food insecurity, and more. At ASP, our crews helped build a deck and repair floors in a house in eastern Tennessee. And at Montreat Youth Conference, our youth learned about God’s light in the world and in their lives while building a great community among themselves and with other churches.
I encourage everyone to ask someone who went on a trip about their experience, and consider joining next year! Dates for next year will be up soon!
In the meantime, enjoy some pictures from these trips below! There are tons more pictures that I wasn’t able to put in this post, so if you’d like your pictures shared, send them to me!
Enjoy the rest of your summers! Youth group starts up again September 7!
