Welcome, Evan Bille Magen — Our New Director of Mission & Community Outreach! We are excited to welcome Evan Bille Magen to the Kirk of Kildaire as our new Director of Mission & Community Outreach.
Evan is a graduate of Davidson College and Union Presbyterian Seminary in Charlotte, with a deep passion for the Church’s public witness and a strong background in both pastoral care and nonprofit engagement. His work with Roof Above in Charlotte, where he served as an Engagement Specialist, provided him with firsthand experience working alongside individuals experiencing homelessness and cultivating community partnerships rooted in mercy and compassion.
Most recently, Evan has been serving as a chaplain resident at the Durham VA. He is a Candidate for Ordination under the care of the Presbytery of Charlotte and is pursuing ordination through a concurrent call as an Army Reserve Chaplain.
Those who have worked with Evan speak of a bridge builder with creative initiative, organizational skills, love for the church, and thoughtful theological consideration of people who find themselves in need. Our search team believes that Evan’s vocational gifts align well with the Kirk’s passion and longstanding commitment to sharing the love of Christ with our neighbors, our community, and the world.
