Fellowship & Small Groups
Church Groups at Kirk of Kildaire Presbyterian are often a blend of bible study, fellowship and missions.
We enjoy each other’s company while having a core purpose of each group.

Centering Prayer Group
When:
6:30 to 7:30 pm
2nd & 4th Wednesday of each month
via Zoom
All adults are welcome
What:
At the Kirk, we meet as a group to pray in Centering Prayer as a way of encouragement and support
Centering Prayer is one way of praying. It is meant to lead those praying to a deeper relationship with God. Centering Prayer is an ancient Christian practice and is both spiritually and psychologically sound.
The practice of Centering Prayer involves silently and quietly sitting and responding to the Spirit of Christ by consenting to God’s presence and action within. By the use of a sacred word, the person praying gently lets go of thoughts to make space in his/her heart for God.
Centering Prayer is one form of contemplation and is nurtured by regular worship and regular meditation on Scripture.

EPIC (Enneagram Pathways In Christ)

11:00 am to 12:30 pm – 2nd Thursday of every month from Sept – May. During the summer months our meeting days vary.
Room C202
The group is open to everyone. Some prior familiarity with the Enneagram is recommended (though not required) because the group is not a class or systematic introduction to the basics of Enneagram theory.
What:
The Enneagram is a rich tool for understanding the relationships between personality, spirituality, and personal and spiritual growth. In this small group we use the Enneagram as a framework for sharing and deepening our personal journeys.
Some good introductory resources:
- Easiest intro: The Enneagram Made Easy by Renee Baron and Elizabeth Wagele.
- Deepest intro: The Wisdom of the Enneagram by Don Riso and Russ Hudson.
- Broadest intro: Nine Lenses on the World by Jerome Wagner
- Online intros: www.enneagraminstitute.com and www.enneagramworldwide.com

Presbyterian Women’s Circles

Circles meet at the same time on the designated day of the month from September through May; meetings last about two hours.

Open to all women from The Kirk. We would love to have you join a group!
What:
Presbyterian Women (PW) at the Kirk is part of a church-wide organization whose membership is open to all women. When a woman joins the Kirk she is automatically a member of PW. PW offers leadership and service opportunities, women’s circles as well as Salad Supper in August and a Christmas Brunch in December.
Learn more about Presbyterian Women within the PC (USA).
Circles at the Kirk
A Circle is a group of women who meet for small group fellowship, Bible study, and service.
What Happens During a Typical Circle Meeting?
Members meet and greet each other, catch up with each other’s lives, and enjoy refreshments. The group takes care of business — this might include hearing news from the PW Coordinating team or planning a service project such as serving a dinner at the Helen Wright Center for Women in Raleigh. Someone leads a Bible study lesson. The Least Coin offering and pledges are collected. Members share good news, sad news, and prayers.
A variety of circles are offered at the Kirk, some during the day, some at night
- Martha Circle – 2nd Mondays at 9:30 am in homes of members/at the Kirk
- Joy-Ruth Circle – 2nd Thursdays at 9:30 am in the Kirk Fellowship Hall
- Lydia Circle – 2nd Tuesdays at 7:00 pm in Room C204/206.
- Affiliate Circle – Does not meet but prepares meals twice per year for the Helen Wright Center for Women in Raleigh
