Retreats

The Kirk sponsors two major retreats each year -- the Fall Retreat and Winter Retreat.

Kirk Youth Retreat Dates for 2007

Winter Retreat
February 16 - 18, 2007
Massanetta Springs, VA

Montreat 2007:

• Theme: "Turning the Page"
• Registration forms in youth kiosk in narthex
• Registration deadline Nov 19
• Deposit $80 *
• July 15-22 or July 22-28
• Exact dates known in January

* One-half the deposit ($40) is refundable before Feb. 15 if you are not able to attend. The other half is refundable if someone takes your place.

Middle School Summer Opportunities

We are tentatively planning for Kirk middle schoolers to attend Massanetta Middle School Conference June 21-24. The middle school mission opportunity sponsored by Raleigh-area churches called Summer in the City is scheduled for July 24-27.

Both of these GREAT opportunities are open to youth who have completed 6th-8th grades. Plan now to participate in one of both! Cost and further details will be available later.

Appalachia Service Project (ASP)
This is a program in which volunteers work for one-week shifts to provide warmer, drier and safer housing for families in Appalachia.
The Kirk usually sends 35 youth and adults each summer to this wonderful service opportunity.
