We are at the beginning of an exciting new adventure in the life of the Kirk as we begin the quest for understanding of God’s word and plan for us. A “quest” is another word for search. We are searching for faith in God –
this is our “Faith Quest.”

Noah was a good man who obeyed God. God told Noah to build an ark, and Noah did as God commanded. Noah and his family took with them in the ark, two of every animal on earth, a male and female. It rained for 40 days and 40 nights and the water flooded the earth destroying everything. When the waters dried up and Noah set the animals free, God made a covenant or promise to never again cover the earth with water. And God set a rainbow in the sky as a sign of this promise.

What we will learn:

God is amazing noah.gif (20968 bytes)

God makes and keeps promises

God communicates with people

Noah was a good man

Noah obeyed God

Our key memory Verse is Psalm 124:8
“Our help is in the name of the Lord, who made heaven and earth.”

Prayer: Dear God, you are amazing. Help us to do what you want us to do in our lives just as Noah did. Amen

Offering: Your offering during this unit will go to help flood victims of North Carolina who were devastated by Hurricane Floyd one year ago. Please bring your offering to the jar in the Great Hall.
