FAITH CHALLENGE
Wisdom: Proverbs 10-22
(Week 3)
Scripture: Proverbs 10-22
Memory Verse: Each student will choose five
proverbs to memorize.
· Students will finish the coloring book for younger children begun last week.
· Students will play games to review some of the proverbs they have learned.
· Students may write or review proverbs they have written.
1.
As students
arrive, direct them to the city room which is still set up for illustrating the
coloring book pages.
2.
Allow students
as much time as needed to complete all illustrations—including up to half the
class. (See week 2 lesson for
details.) When the illustrations are
complete, ask students to clean up and move to the country room.
3.
After reassembling,
briefly review this unit. Show the class
some of the completed pages from the coloring book. Explain that the book will be copied so that
several classrooms of younger Sunday school students can enjoy it.
4.
Introduce a game
to help remember some of the Proverbs—such as a matching hunt to find the two
halves of a proverb that go together, charades to act out some of the proverbs
for the class.
5.
After the game,
call the group back together for a wrap-up and closing. If the proverbs that students wrote last week
were typed and copied, spend a few minutes allowing students to share and enjoy
these. If these were not typed, the
guide can read some of the student-written proverbs from last week as a conclusion
to this unit. (See week 2 for details.) NOTE:
If students did not write proverbs during week 2, this is an option for
today also.
1. Ask students to tidy up.
2. The Coach conducts the closing prayer.
3. Close/lock the door and turn off the lights.
· Bibles, flip chart paper, markers
· Coloring book pages, black markers, pencils
