Commitment and Stewardship Committee

The Commitment and Stewardship Committee is responsible for enlisting the congregation's support of Kirk Programs and ministries through the regular giving of time, talent and funds.  Each fall the Committee conducts a stewardship program designed to educate the congregation about the Kirk's needs, goals and new initiatives and to raise the funds for the coming year's budget.  The funds generated by the campaign are used to operate church programs, pay for church facilities, compensate the pastors and staff and finance our local and worldwide missions.

The Committee also provides a year-round stewardship education program.  The program includes meeting with new members as well as educating the entire congregation on the Biblical basis of good stewardship, the benefits of maintaining good stewardship habits and the importance of regularly pledging one's time and treasure to do God's work.

Financial pledges may be registered with the Kirk by contacting the church office and requesting a pledge card or via the Kirk's on-line pledge form at the following link: Kirk ePledge Form.  You may also use this on-line form to update a pledge you've already registered with the Kirk.

The Committee conducts a Gifts and Interests Survey and maintains a database of survey responses to aid in providing volunteer assistance and talent as is required by the various programs and ministries of the Kirk.  The survey requests information on the composition, background and interests of the member's family.

  • Respondents are encouraged to provide information on background and interests relevant to current Kirk committees and activities, as well as activities that the Kirk could pursue in the future.

  • The survey is administered to each new member at the time they join the church.  The background and interest information is shared with Kirk committee and activity leaders.

  • All members are requested to review their responses annually, and update the information on the survey form as family composition, background and interests change.
