Christian Education ChildrenThe Christian Education Children's Committee coordinates the educational activities and care of infants through fifth grade. Our mission is to teach our children to: know God, love God, and serve God. We strive to:
The Committee develops curriculum, recruits teachers and assistants, is liaison to the Kirk Children's Center, and explores new class development initiatives among its many tasks. In educating our 300+ children, we have a great need for adult volunteers to give of their spiritual gifts, whether teaching, assisting, leading workshops, copying curriculum, maintaining supplies and storage closets, designing bulletin boards, making banners, advising children, rocking babies, etc. For detailed information regarding our Sunday school programs for infants through Kindergarteners, please visit our Faith Walk page. For detailed information regarding our Sunday school programs available for first through fifth graders, please visit our Faith Quest page. An excellent overview of Christian Education at the Kirk is also available by visiting the Christian Education at the Kirk page. To get involved please contact the Christian Education Children's Elders, Patty Snow or Holly Burton, or the Associate Pastor for Christian Nurture and Mission, The Reverend Stephanie Arnold. |
