Starting in early November 2006 we studied What's So Amazing About Grace by Philip Yancey. |
Faith and Theology ("FAT") Adult Sunday School ClassM111 (Session Room), Main Building
The Faith and Theology Class divides its time among studies of theology, the Bible, church history, and Christian living. Participants in this class are a diverse group with a wide range of interests, ages, and biblical knowledge. We ended 2005 with Philip Yancey's Reaching for the Invisible God. We began 2006 with Kathleen O'Connor's The Wisdom Literature. Over the years our studies have included books by Shirlie Guthrie, Walter Brueggemann, Richard Foster, John Dominic Crossan, Dallas Willard, N.T. Wright/Marcus Borg, John Kuykendahl, Donald Shriver, and others. The class strives for lively and provocative discussions and study topics. Ralph Waldo Emerson once observed that he would "walk a hundred miles in the snow for one good conversation." You don't have to work that hard at the Kirk to find stimulating conversation. Come and join us in the FAT Class! We meet in the Session Room (M111, Main Building) at 9:45 am on Sundays. |
