Adult Christian Education at the Kirk

The Kirk is dedicated to the idea that adults as well as children need to continue their study of the Bible and their spiritual development. Often the insights gained in adult Christian education activities lead to a fuller, richer faith journey and more active involvement in the ministry of the church.

Adult Classes on Sunday

All adults are encouraged to attend adult Sunday school classes, which start at 9:45 each Sunday morning.

The Kirk offers a full range of Sunday-morning classes for adults. Select the links below to find out more about these classes.

Adult Study Opportunities during the Week

The Kerygma "Discovering the Bible" class began last fall, and runs with New Testament studies from January through May, 2007. Click here for Kerygma class schedules and information.

The Presbyterian Women also offer Bible study at the Kirk at 9:30 am on the first and third Thursday of each month.

Committee Mission

The CE Adult Committee coordinates the educational activities of adult church members. The committee assists in curriculum selection, teacher recruitment and new class development.

Also, the committee provides some financial support and nurture for church members who go to seminary and encourages the young adult ministry (YAMS).

Please feel free to contact Becky Cathey or Roscoe Braham with any ideas or suggestions.
